Back to School sale!

I was looking through my old elementary/jr high/high school pictures the other day. I never had one I really liked. They sit you in front of a blah background, say "smile," take one picture, then rush you away so they can do it to the next kid in line. And then they expect you to spend a bunch of money on the prints.
It's time to end the reign of the terrible school-pictures. Once and for all.
Normally my portrait sessions cost $149, but for this month I'm doing all portrait sessions for $99 and I'm throwing in Print Package A, which includes 1 8x10, 2 5x7s and a sheet of wallets. ($29 value). Total savings? 79 bucks! And you get a whole CD full of pictures of your favorite little person (or people...do all your kids at once!) to do with as you please...because you have the copyright.
Got a newborn? Missionary? Senior? Switch out Package A for 25 4x6 custom announcements.
Sessions are limited, so please call (801.814.2805) or email and reserve yours ASAP!

The Layton Family

Okay so I have one major problem with this family session...there are too many pictures to post. And I want to post them all. It is just so hard to choose! I could probably do a separate post for each family, and one for each individual child...and one for the engaged lovebirds...and well, I could probably get like 10 posts from this one shoot. Sigh--I did narrow it down. To 20. And even that was hard! I am so happy to have been able to work with the Layton family again, they were one of the first families I ever did. We've both grown since then--those little babies are now lively kids, and I've come a long way in my photo style. It is so fun to see these families grow up! Thanks for a great shoot, you guys!

Dream Come True

What do you get when you put
a football bean bag
and
a smokin' girl named Jessica
in the middle of Lavell Edwards Stadium Parking Lot?
Answer.....

a very happy guy named Bryce.

I'm in the middle of a verrrry busy weekend (3 shoots in two days...whew!) but I couldn't resist posting these pics from Bryce and Jessica's engagement session yesterday. So cute.

I will have Will and Rachel's wedding day pics up next week, as well as Stephani and Mike's (whose wedding I am off to shoot in just a few hours!)

But for now, witness a Cougar fan's ultimate happiness.

*This in no way is an endorsement of any specific Wasatch Front football team. I am neutral. Neutral, I tell you.
Plus I don't know a thing about football.
There.
I said it.

And, as always, if this post gets 10 or more comments within two weeks from today, I will give Kory and Wendy a free 11x14 of their favorite wedding day picture.

Because I love comments. And Kory and Wendy. :)

Rachel's Bridals

I don't know why, but I have a serious infatuation with the black and whites and sepias these days:

So after we both got ridiculously lost on our way to the location we had originally planned for Rachel's bridals (waaay up little cottonwood canyon) we made a last minute decision to change the venue to the City and County building in Salt Lake. Rachel was such a sport--even though we were over an hour behind schedule and were quickly losing our light--and despite all the obstacles, I love how they turned out. I'm a sucker for fairy tales, and this was the perfect place for that magic, romantic feel. (Seriously I made her run up and down the stairs like six times to get that perfect "cinderella" shot as seen in my preview post. She thought I was nuts. :) And I love this place for another, more selfish reason entirely. My 4th wedding anniversary is on Sunday, and it was almost exactly four years ago my own bridals were taken at the City and County building. So thanks Rachel for indulging me. You look every bit the princess!

Fairy Tale

I call this
Cinderella
and this
Sleeping Beauty
though, technically, her eyes are open.

I tried to get her to kiss a frog, but she wasn't so into that. :)
More of Rachel's enchanting Bridal shoot to come!
POST EDIT:
Okay, I realize this means that there is seriously something wrong with me, but after I made the above comment about frogs, I came across this picture....and heaven help me, I couldn't resist...
