Ruby and Josh

I went visiting teaching this afternoon (end of the month, as usual) and while we were driving around my VT companions little girl Ruby (only a month or so younger than Jamison, and beautiful.  I'm making plans for a spring wedding in 21+ years) was smiling at me so cute!  When we were dropped back off at my house I begged Amanda (Ruby's mom and my VT companion) to let me snag a few shots of her preciousness!  And of course,  big brother Josh needed a couple as well.  Not bad for 5 minutes, right? :)

Portrait Party {Melody and the Girls}

For the 18th birthday party for my lil sis (and former intern...I miss her!) I stopped by for a short "friend" shoot.  Portrait Parties are a service I'm going to be offering on a regular basis very soon, and I wanted to get a feel for it, and they were happy to oblige!  It brings me back to high school, when a girl couldn't get by without a posse of awesome friends!

I got to take some pics for the sweetest baby girl today!  It was a bit later than I usually like (its best to do newborn shots in the first 10 days of birth, but I had to wait because my little boy and I have had colds the last week or two and we didn't want to get anybody sick!) but she was still such a sweetie!  Mommy didn't know she was going to have her picture taken too, but I couldn't resist this sweet little moment!  Probably my favorite of the day...but of course, there will be more to come. :)

Tasha and Hardy

Tasha and Hardy were so great to work with during this freeeezing day!  They are from SoCal, and came to Salt Lake to be sealed in the Salt Lake temple and freeze their warm-weather hineys off.  I'm pretty sure that was the coldest shoot I've done all year....it was so cold the reflecting pond was covered in this layer of mist...the water was warmer than the air! yikes.  Still, we got some great shots in that misty, ethereal light! Here are a few of my faves from the day.

Brandon and Melinda's Wedding--oh yeah!

It was cold enough, we thought it might stick.  I guess it only works on metal posts, though. :)

This wedding was a blast, that's all there is to it! Brandon and Melinda got married the Saturday before Christmas at the always-lovely Ivy Lane reception center.  Such a great couple, couldn't have picked livelier people to spend the day with (which always makes for fun shots for me!)  And now they are off to China for a couple of months...its just one adventure after another for these guys!  Best wishes you two!
