Jared and Chelsea

What a hot couple! Jared and Chelsea got married in the Draper Temple on the 25th of September. You'd think after doing a wedding the day before I'd be all worn out, but not so! These guys made my job waaaay too easy. (I mean, really. Look at 'em!) I love late afternoon weddings because you get to capitalize on the evening light... though I did make them a tad late to their reception so I could (greedily) get a few more shots in that nice warm glow! And their reception was a blast. (I really would love a copy of the family's Jared-and-Chelsea verson of "kiss the girl" from the little mermaid. Probably the single most hilarious moment I've ever witnessed at a wedding) It was cool, because though this was the only day i got to work with them, I still felt like I'd known them forever! Thanks guys!

Lara and Evan

.

Lara and Evan got married at the fabulous Woods on 9th on the 24th last month. What a special day! I totally dug the colors (raspberry and green...I have a raspberry bush and every time I went picking I thought what a spectacular wedding color that hue would make. I was so right!) Plus, this family had a whole passel of photogenic kids! Made for a really fun night.
*I uploaded these too big, and when I resized them they got all pixely on me. I will try to fix it soon!*

Noah's Blessing

I love my hubby's whole family. His cousin Andrea and her husband Dave have the sweetest little family. I was lucky to be able to attend their new baby Noah's blessing last month (I know I'm waaay behind. Apologies.) as both a member of the family and a photog. It was so fun! Here are a few of my faves from a mini-family shoot at a park in their neighborhood (can you believe the view of the mountains? Gorgeous!)

Autumn Evening.

Last night was simply beautiful.

I was lucky to be able to go to the This is the Place Heritage Park for the first time ever for a bridal shoot with Jessica. She had worked there over the summer and so, when we bought our photography pass, she also was able to procure a key from a friend. It was after hours, so we had the whole park to ourselves. We walked up and down quiet, tree lined avenues flanked by picket fences and cozy stone houses. There were lanterns on posts that lit up as the sun went down, and on the slightly chill breeze there wafted the sweet smokey smell of a campfire from somewhere up the canyon. Because she had a key we got to peek inside some of the buildings, decorated with little pumpkins for halloween. As we walked between each shot, she recounted all the history associated with each building.

It was such a lovely autumn evening. I came home and made apple cider and snuggled with my hubby.

P.S. I have a lot of posts to do in the next few days (I haven't forgotten all of you!) Noah's blessing, Lara and Evan's Wedding, Jared and Chelsea's Wedding, the Rivas Family, and of course Jessica's bridals should all be up in the next few days! Whew! Good thing I've got a vacation coming my way...
