I've had this song in my head for days. Its sweet and imperfect, kinda how I see my own life. Its from an indie film set in Ireland called Once, which I haven't seen. (And I probably won't--I like the song on its own. Sometimes knowing where it came from can alter what it meant to you the first time you encountered it). I love the last shot with the camera panning across the sun-lit windows and resting on a view of them inside.
I also love Kris Allen's version of it. Check it out here:

Holy cow. I got told to check out Lee Dewyze and Crystal Bowersox in the comments. I don't watch American Idol because I get major anxiety for the performers (don't ask me why.) but sometimes I catch their standout performances later on. can't believe I missed this one! Check it out! Same song, different style...still gutwrenching.
And Linda Eder's exquisite version:

(I swear Erin I'm going to have to check this lady out. Seems like we have a lot of musical choices in common!! :)
And a live Letterman performance by the original duo! So many ways to love one song!!

Another of my favorite Linda Eder songs. I went to her concert this summer and she said she had never seen the movie either but loved the song.
Listen to Lee Dewyze and Crystal Bowersox's version. That's what made me fall in love with the song :)
this is the best version. :) I love the movie "Once" that has Glen in it. Such a powerful movie.
