No looking, Shane!
This session could easily be renamed "The shoot that went so wrong, it went right." Originally, we were supposed to shoot today, but because of the forecast we moved it to Tuesday. Originally we were supposed to shoot at Saltair, but as you probably know...there was a fire right off I-80 yesterday...oh yeah, at Saltair! (Not the Saltair pavilion itself, but they said it was at the marina...though how strange that it went there, considering the first two incarnations of saltair BOTH burned down...) After spending an hour at a dead stop on the freeway, it was decided that because of A. the ninety mile an hour wind gusts, with the accompanying dirt storms and B. the proximity of said fire, we would reroute to someplace less...dirty/windy/burning.
Sometimes, the worst possible circumstances make for the best possible circumstances. If that makes sense. We had to scrap our plans, but it was so worth it!! The new, last minute location couldn't have been more appropriate, I loved it.

Jen and Tyler's Winter Wedding day!
I always tell my brides that no matter what the weather...their wedding day is their wedding day! Embrace it! Don't stress about something you can't change, and when you look back on it, you won't want to change a thing. I'm glad that Tyler and Jen are such amazing sports to keep smiling through this mid-March blizzard, because, though wet and miserable and cold, it was truly lovely!

Inspire Me Monday--Kings and Queens by 30 seconds to Mars
I almost missed this monday's inspiration post!
When I was trying to think of what to post, I could only think of this music video...I love the cinematography, the host of characters, all on bikes, and the band performing above the city lights (Love to do a session like that someday, just as night has fallen!). Enjoy!
PS....Jen and Tylers wedding pics are all done, and I'll be posting them soon!

Chase and BreAnne's Bridal shoot
So we had a bit of bad luck on Saturday night. After nearly 2 hours of shooting I discovered that my SD card had somehow whacked out...and all but maybe 15-20 pictures were corrupted. Long story short, Chase and BreAnne are rockstars and got up early the very next day to do their shoot all over again...this time on a fully functional SD card. It was good/bad experience...good that it happened NOT at a wedding, good that I learned from now on to shoot on more than one SD at any given session. Good that this couple is sooo stinking awesome (not to mention HOT) and good that the pictures from the next day turned out great. And the bad...that I lost some sweet pics and my trust in all things electronic!
And did I mention that these guys are hot? :)
